Krk is a city located on the island of Krk, in Croatia. The city is ancient, being among the oldest in the Adriatic. It has been continuously inhabited since Roman times. According to the 2001 census the city has a population of 5,491 inhabitants. Administratively Krk is a part of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County.
