Bol

Bol is a county and a town on the south of the island of Brač in the Split-Dalmatia County of Croatia, population 1,661 (2005). It is renowned for its most popular beach, Zlatni rat ("Golden cape"). Bol is a promontory composed mostly of pebble rock that visibly shifts with the tidal movement, a unique sight. Bol itself is a very popular tourist destination and has a number of harbourside bars, restaurants and is known for its good wind surfing conditions.
