Tourist Board Kutina and Carnival Association „Kobre” are organizing this years FUK – Fašnik u Kutini (Fašnik u Kutini->eng. Carnival in Kutina) manifestation. The manifestation will take place on the 18th of February.
The program will consist out of a carnival parade (that is both for kids and adults) and a party (a party that will signal the end of the Carnival) that will take place in the carnival tent by the Sports center in which you’ll be able to eat/drink and listen to some good music. The parade will start at 2pm from the new City Market towards Kolodvor street and onwards to Hrvatski Branitelji street and will end at the Sports Center. At 3pm the traditional on-stage group introductions will take place (inside the previosly mentioned tent). In case of bad weather the parade won’t be marching through the city but the rest will take place as scheduled.
The Carnival parade will again (as it does every year) bring back to the streets of Kutina the carnival traditions, songs, dances and craziness in general. And carnival preparations, carnival masks and all around having fun and socializing under the mask has its own special magic. So if you want to taste some of tha magic come to Kutina on the 18th of February.

On the 19th of January (2012.) an “Evening of Death Jazz” will take place at the Attack Club.
Several artists will be performing there. The biggest name being the canadian/american psy/experimental/folk duo called Alpha Strategy (Zack Kouns & Rory Hinchey). A very interesting fact is that they will be having 37 concerts in 37 days..a concert per day
. Also it interesting that besides playing the usual instruments..they are also making music on some less than usual “instruments” like wine glasses ..
The evening will be started by the Zagreb band Carny..and after the DJ pair Unicorn Suicides will be performing.
Tickets for this concert are 20kn!

Irish jazz-folk singer Mary Coughlan will be performing in Tvornica Kulture (veliki Pogon) in Zagreb, on the 27th of January.
At 15 Mary left school and after that her life was going real fast downhill,,,she surrendered to alchocol and drogs..which led to her being a guest of a mental institution. But love towards music and desire to live gace her strength to turn a new page in her life.
Mid 70′s she met her husband Fintan Coughlan with whom she started a family that fell apart in 1981. Again her life was shattered, but luckily soon after those events she met the famous dutch producer Erik Visser. Enough to say after she met him things in her life turned out for the better (she sold her first album in more than 100,000 copies in Ireland).
Concert info:
This will be her 2nd concert in Zagreb..and this time she will be joined by the polish piano player Pawel Grudzien.
You can buy the tickets in all Eventim selling places (in Zagreb you can get them at the music library Rockmark->address: Berislavićeva 13..and also you can buy them online http://www.eventim.hr/hr/ulaznice/mary-coughlan-zagreb-tvornica-kulture-pogon-316642/performance.html

Roby Lakatos is not just a violin virtuoso but an artist of extraordinary versatility. Equally skilled in performing classical music, jazz or folklore idiom of his fatherland Hungary! This is an artist very hard to describe..the brave usually try to describe him as a gypsy violinist, devil’s fiddler, the classical master, jazz improvisator, composer & arranger. All the previously mentiond is true and contained within this trully remarkable personality yet it doesn’t describe him fully.
Today Roby Lakatos Ensemble (with the exception of Roby Lakatos & Lászlo Bóni) is populated by young virtuosi of their respective instruments. But I’m not gonna go into the ensemble details too much..cause frankly it’s not important..music is what is important here..so i’m just gonna skip now to the concert info you’ll be needing (but before that I have a few vids to show
)..
