Zadar sees tourism rise
Zadar tourist chiefs have said visitor numbers to the city rose in the first four months of the year.

The city’s tourist board said there were 39,500 overnight stays in the city between January and April this year - 31 per cent more than in the first four months of 2008.

It also said almost 17,000 tourists visited the city in the same period – a rise of 16 per cent compared to the same period last year.

Most foreign visitors were from Germany, Slovenia, France, Great Britain and Italy, local media reported.
 
Hotel and nautical complex to be built in Sibenik
A 100 millions Euros hotel and nautical resort is to be built in Sibenik, it has been reported.

A consortium of the Turkish company Dogus Group, American company Island Global Yachting and the Nautical Centre Prgin in Sibenik together with the city authorities of Sibenik are to back the project in Mandalina in the Adriatic coastal city.

"There is no doubt Dogus will take part in this investment. We expect to sign the deal later this month," Ivana Prgin, the director of Nautical Centre Prgin said to Slobodna Dalmacija daily.
